Learning Under COVID-19: Remote, Hybrid, and In-Person Classrooms
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sherri Marlette Spraggins took on the challenge of gaining new skills to create a supportive learning environment for her preschoolers in the classroom, on the screen, or any combination of it. In this podcast, Sherri describes the precautions she took for daily activities and routines in face-to-face classroom and how her preschoolers adapted to wearing masks, washing their hands, and following social distancing rules. She also speaks to big adjustments made by families for remote learning and how it changed the dynamics of interacting with children as well as the relationships with their caregivers. She says, “…it shifted my focus on the child to the family as a whole…and I got to know them so much better.”
